Check out our featured books below.

Party Girl Book Club FEATURED BOOKS

Book cover featuring a woman with wet hair and makeup, titled 'Down the Drain' by Julia Fox.

Julia Fox "Down the Drain"

Choosing the first book for the Party Girl Book Club was an obvious choice. This memoir, which inspired me to dive back into reading, also served as the foundation for this club. Fortunately for us, briefly dating Kanye West is just a minor detail in Julia Fox's life story. Growing up in Italy and New York City, this book is a thrilling journey from the very beginning. Julia Fox’s memoir, Down The Drain, is a captivating entry in the genre of celebrity biographies, intertwining fashion, sex, drugs, movie sets, and family drama, making it one of the standout women's memoirs.

Book cover of "I'm Glad My Mom Died" by Jennette McCurdy.

Jennette McCurdy "I'm Glad My Mom Died"

Our second book, perfect for the Party Girl Book Club, explores the complexities of the mother and daughter relationship through an extreme example of co-dependence and blissful ignorance. Just in time for Mother's Day, let's take a deep dive into this viral phenomenon and discover how it resonates with readers of women's memoirs. Could you think of a more perfect book to read right before Mother's Day?

Black and white portrait of Britney Spears with text from her album cover.

Britney Spears "The Woman In Me"

You've watched her music videos, created dances to her songs, and seen her grow into a woman right before your eyes. Listen to her story, told by the woman herself. We celebrate Britney in this edition of celebrity biographies for baring her soul, sharing the tough times along with the good, and for revealing Justin Timberlake for who he REALLY is. Join the Party Girl Book Club as we delve into women's memoirs that resonate with so many.

Book cover of "How to Murder Your Life" by Cat Marnell.

Cat Marnell "How to Murder Your Life"

In our most unhinged read yet, Cat Marnell introduces us to the secrets behind Condé Nast and doctor shopping. This captivating memoir, a standout in the realm of women's memoirs, is filled with juicy gossip and inner turmoil, fueled by many, many performance enhancing drugs. It's a perfect selection for the Party Girl Book Club, showcasing the wild side of celebrity biographies.

Josephine Baker "Fearless and Free"

Let us explore the glamorous life of Josephine Baker, the icon of the jazz age, French Resistance spy during World War II, civil rights activist, and adoptive mother to twelve children she called her “Rainbow Tribe.” With her mix of glamour, courage, and humanitarian work, Baker remains a symbol of artistry, resilience, and freedom.

Ina Garten "Be Ready When The Luck Happens"

The Hamptons party girl queen extraordinaire

Bonus Books

Memoir cover featuring a confident woman with long hair and bold text.

Eve "Who's That Girl?"

If you are up in the early aughts, you DEFINITELY know who Eve is. Rolling with the Ruff Ryders and eventually branching off into acting, Eve's journey is a testament to the rich narratives found in celebrity biographies. Her story is complex, layered, and vulnerable, making it a perfect fit for the Party Girl Book Club, as she has lived many lives and learned a lot along the way. Nothing stops her, and her experiences resonate with the themes often explored in women’s memoirs.

Book cover of 'Bad Feminist' by Roxane Gay with a minimalistic design.

Roxane Gay "Bad Feminist"

What is feminism? What has our society become and what is it doing to women? Roxane Gay's collection of essays fits perfectly within the realm of women's memoirs, as she encourages us to reflect on our perspectives and offers insight into the female mind. Her work not only makes us question the aspects of our reality that need scrutiny but also resonates with themes found in celebrity biographies, making it a thought-provoking choice for the Party Girl Book Club.

Mark Ronson “Night People”

Never did I think we would feature a book by a MAN but trust me this one is an exception. Mark Ronson’s memoir “Night People” is a wonderful little time capsule of music and clubbing in 90’s New York City. This book perfectly captures the grit and glamour of nightlife well also getting me interested in just what it takes to be a DJ (who knew). BRB time to google every club and celebrity listed and further engross myself in the fact that nothing will ever be like it was in the 90’s.
